Ethereum gambling
Ethereum (ETH or Ξ) was first proposed by Vitalik Buterin, a cryptocurrency researcher and programmer, in late 2013. After development in 2014 the system went live in 2015. Like Bitcoin, Ethereum is a distributed public blockchain network, but it differs in purpose and capability. While the Bitcoin blockchain is used to track ownership of digital currency (bitcoins), the Ethereum blockchain focuses on running the programming code of any decentralized application.
Ethereum is best known for its smart contracts. A piece of computer code that can facilitate anything of value like f.e. money, content property ans shares. These smart contracts become self executing when a specific set of conditions are met. Because these smart contracts run on the blockchain they can run exactly as programmed without the possibility of censorship, third party interference, downtime or fraud.
Based on marketcap Ethereum is currently the second largest cryptocurrency in the world.
